- 1. The setup will say that one of the .exe files do not match the .cab file. click IGNORE and continue the installation.
2. You will need to mount image to install the game. Click here to download WinCDEmu, an open source image mounter.
3. If the game freezes after the 'Farewell to my life. Farewell to my home' text or any other place click 'Start' then 'Run' enter 'dxdiag' without the quotes, click on sound tab and set 'Hardware sound acceleration level' to basic (this must be done while Resident Evil 3 is NOT running).
